Why does BTA show a ‘Risk %’ instead of just odds?

Sportsbooks only show you odds, which tell you how much you might get paid if your bet wins.
But odds alone don’t tell you how likely your bet is to hit.

BTA adds a Risk Percentage (Risk %) to give you the missing half of the picture — the actual probability of your bet winning, based on BTA’s internal AI models.

Odds vs. Risk %: The Difference

Sportsbook Odds

  • Show the payout

  • Include sportsbook margins (“vig”)

  • Are shaped by betting volume and market movement

  • Do not reflect the true chance of winning

BTA Risk %

  • Shows how likely your bet is to hit

  • Comes from BTA’s independent AI models

  • Is not influenced by sportsbook pricing

  • Helps expose gaps between model projections and market odds

Example:

  • A sportsbook offers +150, which suggests a 40% chance to win

  • BTA’s model might show a 56% Risk %

  • That gap shows where the market may be undervaluing the outcome

This is how BTA helps users find smarter, data-backed opportunities.
